Coweta County
Coweta County Legends Button

On the southern outskirts of Atlanta is a community with easy accessibility to “big city amenities” but blessed with a storied history and small town charm. Coweta County has endless opportunities for historic adventures, shopping destinations galore, a place to whet your appetite and along the way you’re likely to see a movie star or two!
Coweta County is one of Georgia’s largest counties and each of the seven incorporated cities has something unique to offer. There are historic homes, plantations, and gardens to explore. Country music star, Alan Jackson, calls Coweta County home. “Way down yonder on the Chattahoochee” is now home to one of Georgia’s newest state parks Chattahoochee Bend State Park. There are antique treasures for the finding, as well as modern shopping opportunities that draw folks from miles around. Film and television production crews have set up shop in this Camera Ready community for years, boosting the local economy with big screen gems Fried Green Tomatoes, Sweet Home Alabama, Get Low, and The War, as well as TV hits Drop Dead Diva and October Road, to name a few. So while the thrill of the big city is just up the road, settle into Coweta for everything from Civil War history, great places to eat, and shop…be sure to see Newnan “the city of homes” and Senoia “the perfect setting for life” and always keep an eye out for your favorite movie star!
